The Sister Mary Joseph’s nodule, a medical rarity, constitute an exceptional finding within the umbilical region that may indicate the presence of an in- traabdominal malignant neoplasm. A case is reported involving a patient with a personal pathologic antecedent of chronic gastritis, where physical exami- nation and diagnostic methods reveled a gastric adenocarcinoma with me- tastasis. In order to underscore the relevance of a thorough physical exami- nation to facilitate early detection and timely management within a context where the prognostic frequently proves challenging.
