Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) is a serious adverse drug reaction characterized by high mortality and lack of effective treatments. This study presents a clinical case of a 14-year-old male patient who developed SJS after administration of lamotrigine. The patient presented erythema, blisters, and mucosal involvement, which led to hospitalization. A multidisciplinary management was implemented, including drug discontinuation, administration of corticosteroids and immunoglobulin, which led to a favorable recovery. The literature review demonstrated variations in the clinical presentation and management of SJS, highlighting the importance of close monitoring in the use of lamotrigine, especially in pediatric patients, to prevent severe adverse reactions. This case illustrates the need for rigorous protocols and preventive strategies in public health.
